This evening I enjoyed answering a Pharisee in the faith, who, pontificating on providential gifts, asserted wealth as a certain measure of spiritual condition.

My response was "When I meet the Creator and give an answer on what I did with finances, I'll confess:

'I spent most of my money on beer and women, the rest I just wasted.' "

You could have heard a pin drop.

Buying Jiffy Pop to feed the crows is not a waste in God's economy. But I'll bet owning a jet is.
